Winning a Platinum Award and Best Beautiful Border, The Meadow Border, as seen at BBC Gardeners’ World Live Special Edition 2021, took inspiration from nature and ran with it. Wildflowers mixed with garden favourites to create a beautifully designed, nature inspired, haven for wildlife and a connection to a wilder us.
After years of neglect this West London garden required a complete overhaul. Plank pavers were staggered to create a strong visual framework for the planting to play against. Shape and colour taken from the surroundings firmly cemented the garden in its place while standing out for all the right reasons.
Winning Best in Show at the Belvoir Castle Flower and Garden Show 2019, The Rewilding Hedgerow Border saw an ancient hedge, chopped down during the Dig for Victory campaign, finally reclaiming its land. Native woody species engulfed the felled tree stumps, while a beautiful wildflower meadow sprung up on either side.
A beautiful Victorian entrance deserved a garden to match at this West London home. Lantern filled, vintage dolly planters dressed the leaded glass door, drawing you down the path and welcoming you home, while simplicity and texture were key to enhancing the original, striking black and white tiled path.
